Allenspark is a small mountain community known for its quiet setting, historic character, abundant wildlife, hiking access and proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park. It offers a much less commercial mountain experience than many of Colorado’s larger resort towns.

Spend the day hiking, exploring waterfalls and mountain trails, watching for wildlife, visiting local cafes and shops, stargazing, or simply slowing down and enjoying the scenery. Allenspark is also a great base for exploring the surrounding Peak-to-Peak region.

There really isn’t a bad season. It depends on the experience you want. Summer brings hiking and wildflowers, fall brings golden aspens, winter offers snow-covered landscapes and spring is a beautiful transition as the mountains begin to wake.
