FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Allenspark is a small mountain community known for its quiet setting, historic character, abundant wildlife, hiking access and proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park. It offers a much less commercial mountain experience than many of Colorado’s larger resort towns.

  • Spend the day hiking, exploring waterfalls and mountain trails, watching for wildlife, visiting local cafes and shops, stargazing, or simply slowing down and enjoying the scenery. Allenspark is also a great base for exploring the surrounding Peak-to-Peak region.

  • There really isn’t a bad season. It depends on the experience you want. Summer brings hiking and wildflowers, fall brings golden aspens, winter offers snow-covered landscapes and spring is a beautiful transition as the mountains begin to wake.

  • Yes, but that’s part of its charm. Allenspark isn’t a commercial resort town. You’ll find a small collection of locally owned places to eat, grab coffee and explore, with additional dining and shopping available in nearby mountain communities.
